More cows this week with travelled cows taking the advantage of the competitive cast cattle ring at Hexham.

Pure Limousin cows led the way this week with Messrs A & D Proctor, Swarland Old Hall making a successful trip down the A1, achieving 230.5ppk whilst Mr A Peart & Son Woodcroft sold pure Limousins to 227.5ppk.

Highest grossing cow came from Messrs J Carr & Co, Camphill with a Limousin cross realising £1792.73.

Big, fit Hereford cows from Mr W S Walton, Risehead, Alston sold to a high of £1677.11.

Whilst Irish Holstein cows sold particularly well this week from Peepy Farm Ltd, selling to 171.5ppk.
