Cast Cows & OTM

A depleted entry of cast cattle this week, but the ones that did decide to come forward were rewarded with a slightly sharper trade.

Topping the sale with two pure Limousin cows was Messrs J E Henderson & Sons, Burntongues, firstly with a young, shapey cow which realised 259.5ppk, followed by a heavy old girl selling to 207.5ppk.

Cast bulls sold to 181.5ppk for a BB x Lim from Messrs W Walton & Sons, Dunns Houses.

Topping the sale at £142.50 was a pair of Texel x lambs from R R E & J R Reay, St Oswalds Farm.

Top ppk went to Messrs J & E Walby, East House with Beltex lambs at 325ppk.
